Basic Vocabulary: note names, clefs, key signatures, rhythms, time signatures, repeats; Harmonic Series I: sound as it comes from nature, and why certain combinations of notes reinforce one another, and sound pleasing; Intervals: the distance between two notes; Chords: three or more notes at once; Scales: the result of the notes in the 3 primary chords.
Harmony
Chord qualities and construction. Scale qualities and construction. Relative major and minor, and parallel major and minor. Tonic, Dominant and Subdominant regions. Cadences.
